EC21 Messenger
Installation and Download

| EC21 Messenger uses an ActiveX control to check your messenger
status and display the coversation window. For those with Windows
XP Service Pack 2 installed, you will be prompted to allow active
the messenger. The prompt will be similar to the following screenshot.
Then click “Install ActiveX Control…” and install
this Program. |

| If you still have a problem after installing Active X program,
you need to chage the Internet Option. |

Included below are a few steps you can follow to try to correct
the issue.
- Open Internet Explorer
- Open the “Options” menu
and select “Internet Options’.
- Click on the “Security” tab.
Make sure the Internet zone is selected, then Click “Custom
Level”.
- Look for the following settings and set them as
follows: Automatic Prompting for ActiveX Controls = Disable
Binary and Script Behavior = Enable Download Signed ActiveX
Controls = Enable Download Unsigned ActiveX Controls = Disable
Initialize and script ActiveX Controls not marked as safe =
Disable Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins = Enable Script ActiveX
Controls marked safe for scripting = Enable
- Click
here and install the EC21 Messenger Plugin for Internet
Explorer. This step must be completed after you have set the
above settings.
You should now be able to log into the EC21 Messenger
and chat with the company you are interested. If you receive
a Windows Security Alert message, that states that Windows Firewall
has blocked network access from this program, click on “For
this program, don’t show this message again” and click “OK”. |
