The JVSP-3980 uses the XPC7455 PowerPC Processor and supports VME64x interface. The JVSP-3980 is a high-performance, high-quality, low power, 32-bit implementation of the PowerPC RISC architecture combined with a full 128-bit implementation of Motorola’s AltiVec technology and supports for 2MB of backside L3 cache.

The JVSP-3980 provides one 64bit PMC site, two UART-422 port, two UART-232 port, one USB channel, and two on board dual redundant MIL-STD-1553B port2. Supported Real Time Operating Systems are VxWorks and
Linux.

The JVSP-3980 is available in two mechanical formats:
- Air-cooled per ANSI/VITA 1-1994
- Rugged conduction cooked per IEEE 1101.2

Both mechanical formats are single slot 6U modules.
The JVSP-3980 is a rugged designed for military, aerospace application - sophisticated data and digital signal processing need of tactical aircraft, armored vehicles and harsh environment naval systems.
