B2B Marketplace called “EC21.com”, which is operated by EC21 (CEO Song Young-Look), is the first indigenous global market platform in South Korea that has established e-commerce services connecting buyers and sellers around the world since 1996, the early days of the Internet. Since its independence from the Korea International Trade Association in 2000, EC21 has grown rapidly for the past 20 years. It currently has 2.2 million members and more than 7 million catalogues from 170 countries, and has become a global market place where more than 500,000 requests are made per month. Out of the total traffic, more than 92 percent of visitors from overseas are visited, and monthly page views amount to 10 million.

Based on such platforms, EC21 is responsible for overseas marketing of more than 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises every year through projects to support small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, which are being pushed along with more than 30 local governments and trade-related agencies. This year, more than 50 small and medium-sized companies have made actual exports through EC21 in a short period of time while carrying out the online export business of the Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Corporation.

Consequently, it has proved its status as a global B2B e-commerce platform.

EC21 is taking the lead in supporting exports as well as rooting out illegal goods traded through global market places. Among the illegal products registered over the past decade or so, EC21 has been conducting thorough inspections with its own product inspection algorithm, especially by analyzing the names of narcotics and raw drug materials.
