Description

The Bauer Vapor X5 Pro skate caters to the elite level player looking to boost their on-ice performance and find value on and off the ice. Featuring a 3D-Lasted carbon CURV composite boot that is light weight and offers support in a highly thermoformable material, allowing players to personalize their fit and increase performance. The integrated injected facing provides lateral stability and lock of the foot, maximizing responsiveness of the boot under quick changes of direction.

Inside the Vapor X5 Pro, a HydroLite liner offers a high-performance moisture wicking material that keeps feet dry and skates light. Bauer’s Comfort Edge is a synthetic pad around the collar of the boot that provides superior foot and ankle comfort. AeroFoam + ankle pads deliver ample thermoformability, enhanced comfort and improved fit. The asymmetrical toe cap creates a better connection for the player’s foot to the boot by minimizing negative space around the toes. Lastly, this skate comes standard with a gripped Lock-Fit insole for an enhanced fit.

A pro stock 48 oz felt tongue is your traditional “pro-style” tongue injected with a metatarsal guard that provides premium protection, and comfort.

On the bottom of the skate, a Digi Comp outsole gives players enhanced energy transfer from the boot to the blade. The Vapor X5 Pro debuts the new Bauer Powerfly holder- the most advanced blade holder on ice, backed by decades of R&D. Completely reimagined, this holder features a stiff front post for faster acceleration, a flexible back post for quicker pivots, and a hyperbolic bridge for increased balance and power in every stride. This new holder also has an integrated quick-release trigger system that can be used to change runners in between shifts, making sure you never miss any ice time.

Coupled with the new Powerfly holder is a new steel line up that improves the security of the blade and durability of the holder. Choose Fly-Ti for a titanium coating and enhanced edge retention or choose Fly-X for enhanced edge retention.
