working principle The working principle of a drum dryer mainly achieves material drying through three processes: heating, heat transfer, and mass transfer 1. Heating process: The air is heated by a heater (such as fuel, natural gas, steam, etc.), and the hot air is sent into the drum to exchange heat with the moist material. 2. Heat transfer process: Hot air forms convection inside the drum, transferring heat energy to the surface of the material, gradually increasing the surface temperature of the material, thereby causing the evaporation of moisture on the surface of the material. The heat transfer methods mainly include convective heat transfer, radiative heat transfer, and conductive heat transfer, among which convective heat transfer is the main heat transfer method of drum dryer. 3. Mass transfer process: The moisture in the material diffuses from the surface of the material into the air and is carried away by hot air, achieving the drying of the material. The rate of mass transfer depends on factors such as the humidity of the material surface and the humidity and temperature of the air.
