During the past 40 decades, most companies who produced electronic products always experienced high defective rate.
After carefully failure analysis, technicist found out that defects were caused by discharge of static electricity during assembly, transportation even during normal use.
We know static electricity is caused by friction, two surfaces tough then apart from each other, walking on floor and so on. The electric charge can be accumulated to form a voltage level from several thousand to ten thousand volts. Once such a large volume of static electricity be discharged, it will destroy the whole piece or part pieces of the IC or PCB parts inside of electronic products.
