White fused alumina(WFA)
WFA is fused by alumina powder by melting above 2000℃ in electric arc furnace and cooling, through crushing, shaping, deironing and then divided into a variety of particle size by screening. It has the performance of high purity, self-sharpening, acid and alkali resistance, high temperature thermal stability and lower toughness. Its hardness is slightly higher than brown fused alumina. The abrasives made of it are suitable for manufacturing ceramic porcelain, resin consolidation abrasive and grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting (Precision casting special corundum) etc.
