IDM Ink Rub Testers determine the quality of adhesion, and scuff resistance of ink to paper surfaces, plastic and aluminium film. The motorised unit is simple to operate, by entering the number of rubs in the pre-set counter, and then starting the unit. It will rub the sample until the pre-set value is achieved.

Dry and Wet rub can be performed on the Ink Rub Tester. The method of operation is that a 2 or 4 Lb weight with a clean white board is swept across the test piece for a set number of times, and then closely examined for the amount of scuffing

2lb & 4lb Heated Weights can be supplied with the IDM Ink rub tester that have a thermostat control and can operate from Ambient to 150°C. The heated weights can be connected directly into the rub tester for operation.
