VOLAGRIP^TM are highly functional and user-friendly disposable instruments for laparoscopic surgery.
VOLAGRIP^TM surgical instruments have a unique ergonomic design that is comfortable in use and promotes efficient muscle action. The ergonomic handle eliminates deviation of the wrist and thereby reduces carpal tunnel pressure and eradicates fatigue and discomfort for the surgeon.

At least 7.5 million laparascopic procedures are performed annually.
The increased use of minimally invasive procedures is driven mainly by patient demand, as they are less traumatic, less painful, and require much less recovery time. For the surgeons, on the other hand, laparoscopic surgery is demanding due to longer duration, high precision demands, and increased strain for hand-and arm muscles.

VOLAGRIP^TM gives the surgeon maximum comfort and enhances surgical precision.
This leads to a potentially positive clinical impact for the patient.

Ergonomics and Use

The VOLAGRIP^TMsurgical instruments have a unique ergonomic design.
The VOLAGRIP^TM handle fits well in hand and has no distinct pressure areas. The handle contacts the hand at the most .

Rotation of the VOLAGRIP^TM instruments is performed smoothly through a natural rotation of the wrist, and is also available through the easily accessible serrated dial. The patented VOLAGRIP^TM handle is size-adjustable to suit different hand sizes.

VOLAGRIP^TM has been through extensive testing by the Experimental OR and Ergonomics at the University Hospital of Tuebingen, Germany. The test compared VOLAGRIP^TM with leading suppliers of disposable instruments for minimally invasive surgery, and the results show that VOLAGRIP^TM has outstanding ergonomic qualities. The test results are presented in the article "Ergonomics of disposable handles for minimally invasive surgery", which has been published in Surgical Endoscopy.

CLINCH, SCISSORS, MARYLAND and STRAIGHT GRASPER


VOLAGRIP^TM CLINCH and STRAIGHT GRASPER are graspers with ratchet mechanism that can be switched on or off, for user's preference.	VOLAGRIP^TM SCISSORS and MARYLAND are dissectors with monopolar cautery. The cautery connection located on bottom of the handle may be utilized for monopolar cautery when attached to standard cautery cables and their generators.
