PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Curcumin (Turmeric) is a bright yellow chemical produced by plants of the Curcuma longa species. It is the principal curcuminoid of turmeric (Curcuma longa), a member of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae.

It is a compound in turmeric. It's the active ingredient in this popular spice. It also gives it the yellow color.

It belongs to a class of more than 8,000 compounds called polyphenols. You'll find polyphenols in plant-based foods. They come in different types.
