Plasticizers are organic ester compounds, formed through heating acid and alcohol with the catalyst. Plasticizers improve processing ability and transform physical property by being added to polymer.

Plasticizers are used to flexibility, low temperature resistance, volatility-resistance and good electrical properties for leather, seats, PVC films and electrical wires.
Aekyung Petrochemical has improved process of Aekyung Co., Ltd., which started production of plasticizers in 1964. Through the building of new plants seven times, Aekyung Petrochemical Co.,Ltd. has the production capacity of 350,000 tons per year based on DOP and has manufactured various plasticizers as a specialized plasticizer manufacturer.

Aekyung Petrochemical Co.,Ltd. has achieved high quality and low cost of phthalate plasticizers through self-consumption of PA, the world's largest production as a single company. Our company is also meeting customers' needs by manufacturing high value added plasticizer by using 4 batch type plants.
High value added plasticizers are certified as environmentally friendly by SGS, the best authorized analysis institute and Korea institute for test of daily life environment to meet various customers' needs.
Furthermore, based on our accumulated technology, Aekyung Petrochemical Co., Ltd. constructed DOP continuous type plant with production capacity of 100,000 tons with our own technology in July 1998. Through the DOP plant, Aekyung Petrochemical Co.,Ltd. is manufacturing the world's best products.
