Description:
A pregnancy test midstream is a common type of home pregnancy test used to detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone in urine, indicating whether a woman is pregnant or not. It consists of a plastic casing with an absorbent tip that is held directly in the urine stream during testing.

To use a pregnancy test midstream, a woman typically removes the test from its packaging, removes the cap covering the absorbent tip, and then holds the tip in her urine stream for a few seconds or immerses it in a cup of collected urine for a specified time, usually a few seconds to a minute, depending on the manufacturer's instructions. After the recommended waiting period, which is usually a few minutes, the test results appear on the display window.

The results of a pregnancy test midstream are typically displayed as either a positive (pregnant) result, indicated by the appearance of one or two lines or a symbol, or a negative (not pregnant) result, indicated by the appearance of a single line or a different symbol. Some tests also include a control line to indicate that the test is working correctly.
