Shell and tube heat exchanger is composed of shell, heat transfer tube bundle, tube plate, baffle plate and tube box. In order to improve the fluid speed in the tube, a separator can be set in the two ends of the tube box to divide all the tubes into several groups. In this way, the fluid passes through only part of the tube at a time and thus makes multiple round-trips through the tube bundle, which is called multi-tube travel.
