Well is a steel fiber manufacturer offering a wide range of steel fibers designed to meet the high demand for optimized steel fibers. Optimized fiber configurations combined with tensile strength enhancement from wire drawing operations allow you to build the necessary strength needed to resist concrete-induced stresses.

Steel fibers used to reinforce castables, poured compounds and concrete help improve abrasion resistance and increase strength at low temperatures. Well offers several grades of steel fiber sizes ranging from 3/4" to 1 1/2" in carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, 310 stainless steel, 430 stainless steel and 446 stainless steel. Steel Fiber Concrete (SFRC) consists of hydraulic cement containing fine and coarse aggregates and steel fibers. The steel fibers inhibit micro-cracking and act as tiny reinforcing bars. The earlier a crack is intercepted, the safer it is. The more growth is inhibited, the less likely it is to develop into a serious problem.

What is Steel Fiber?

Steel fiber is designed to provide concrete with temperature and shrinkage crack control, enhanced flexural reinforcement, improved shear strength and increased crack resistance of concrete.

Steel-fiber concrete has gradually evolved from a new and unproven material to one that is now recognized in numerous engineering applications. Recently, the use of steel fiber concrete in place of steel reinforcement has become more frequent. The applications of steel fiber concrete are so varied and extensive that it is difficult to classify them. The most common applications are tunnel linings, slabs and airport pavements. Many types of steel fibers are used for concrete reinforcement.
