Description by Manufacturer

Thermally stable polycrystalline (TSP) bits are manufactured in much the same way as surface set diamond core bits, but the natural diamond stones are replaced by thermally stable polycrystalline (TSP) cutters, the bits are extremely tough and have excellent wear resistance.

TSP diamond bits are recommended for coring soft to medium hard, abrasive and fragmented formations with a Mohs hardness range from 3 to 5, typical formations like sandstone, limestone, slate, fluorite, apatite etc.

Key Features:

Ø The cutting elements remain sharp throughout the whole life of the bit.

Ø Faster penetration than impregnated or surface set bits.

Ø Good for coring broken and abrasive rock formations.
