INTRODUCTION:

High-power ultrasonic metal melt treatment device is composed of ultrasonic transducer (converter) with cover,booster, horn (sonotrode, probe) and generator.

Ultrasonic technology can be used to improve the liquid aluminum degassing in the process of casting.

Ultrasonic machining can improve molten metal structure, improve the aluminum magnesium alloy performance. Metallic melts through the ultrasonic degassing effect, namely cavitation (cavitation is the key to remove hydrogen) ultrasonic degassing can reduce more than 50% of the hydrogen content, thus improve the density and plasticity.

Ultrasound applied in the metal melt processing there are also two special difficulties, the reason is known as: namely, high temperature and corrosion. There are a lot of literature about ultrasonic metallurgical benefits, but the technology has not been widely used.
