Hemovac

Closed Wound Drainage Set

Hemovac is a drain used to collect the fluids of the body which accumulate in body after surgical operation. It is a circular shaped container connected to a tube which connects the inner body to the hemovac drain. The one end of tube is inserted into the body during surgery and the other end is connected to the hemovac drain, the incision or cut which is made on the surface in order to insert the tube is known as drain site. Hemovac drain is used to drain not only the excessive fluids of body but also the blood accumulated in body.

3-spring Reservoir

• Easy to activate
• Readily compresses with little effort
• Plug may be pre-positioned for ease of activation and closing
• Large pouring spout is located close to the edge of the reservoir
• During emptying, plug holder keeps plug away from flow to help minimize cross-contamination
• Reservoir can be secured to patient or bedding with the convenient attachment clip

PVC Round Perforated Tube with Trocar

• Evenly spaced perforations designed to minimize debris collection within wound
• 90 degree spacing perforations may optimize
drainage from multiple directions

• X-ray detectable radiopaque line provides
visualization of drain

Connecting Tube

Universal Y Connector for Dual Drainage can be cut to accept 1⁄8˝, 3⁄16˝ or 1⁄4˝ diameter wound drains.
