Differential Air Shafts
Differential Air Shafts are designed to deliver multiple roll tension equalization to slit rolls winding on the same shaft. Advanced features hold rolls straight and true, reduce roll loping and offer positive mechanical locking to prevent lateral roll movement for improved roll quality, reduced scrap and fast, easy setup.
Air-roll-lock differential air shafts slip internally to use multiple width rolls and materials on one air shaft. Always custom-made, these shafts lock for a precision fit and are available in several mounting styles.
Because Air Roll Lock Differential Shafts slip internally, we have eliminated the common issues still found in our competitors differential shafts:
- No side-to-side wobble
- Positive expansion and retraction to a consistent diameter
- Duplex and multiple tension applications
- NO core dusting or wobble

The Air Roll Lock Differential Air Shaft is suitable for the full range of converting and web production operations. Its rugged construction and shaft design is available in 3", 6", and 10" diameters and up to 150" wide. Air shaft weights for your specific application are available upon request.
