CIP(Cold Isostatic Press)
CIP Series is a moulding system utilizing cold hydrostatic pressure from a lab scale 300ml to production scale 100l . Also the pressure can be set up from 2000kg/cm2(29,000psi) to Max. 4000 kg/cm2(58,000psi). Inner structure is pressurizing pump and pressure vessel. The pressure vessel does conform with ASME CODE firmly from design to manufacture. Besides, there is sensor and gauge to check the pressure. Pin closure type is easy and safe for operation. It can be specially manufactured according to customer's request.
Cold isostatic press (CIP), as the word means, is a machine providing unilateral pressure to all directions to products that need to be formed by using fluid. For example, following the 1st forming process such as ceramic or metal powder, it is put into the flexible mold and finally formed by high pressure activated by fluid or liquid inside of pressure vessel. By doing this, final products formed by above process shall have uniform density since the pressure being applied to product will be the same from all directions. For instance, looking back conventional forming method by loading pressure along with 1 or 2 axial directions, there exists irregular internal density inside of formed products, thus will have internal crack or inferior durability. Because of these problems, CIP has been used to as a solution to manufacture high impact components in the fields of aerospace, electric power, military industries and semiconductor since 10 years ago.
What is cold isostatic pressing?
Cold Isostatic Pressing is a materials processing technique in which high pressure is applied to metal powder in a sealed elastomer container shaped for the application. The powder is converted from a loose aggregate into a partially dense compact that has sufficient green strength to permit careful handling and transfer to the following process operation. Cold isostatic pressing of metal powders was invented by H.D. Madden of the Westinghouse Lamp Company in 1913 (U.S. Patent 1,081,618) to process tungsten and molybdenum billets for subsequent conversion to wire. Cold Isostatic Poressing products have homogeneity and accuracy but no orientation.

The inner vessel material is Stainless Steel that can endure the high design pressure. 5 kg/c㎡ air is necessary for cover and pump's working. CIPS Series consists of three main parts: pump, pressure vessel and control system. And there is sensor and gauge to check the pressure. Vent valve and release valve can decrease the pressure easily.
CIPL Series is pilot scale system and the volume is from 2L to 10L. And the pressure can be changed from 2000 kg/c㎡(29,000psi) to 4000 kg/c㎡(58,000psi). The inner vessel material is Stainless Steel that can endure the high design pressure. 5 kg/c㎡ air is necessary for cover and pump's working.
